instlux and openSUSE released together

The newest version of instlux (a linux from windows installer) has been released as the openSUSE 10.3 from windows installer. What that means is that when you insert your openSUSE 10.3 CD/DVD into your CD/DVD reader while in windows, instlux is started to help you installing openSUSE 10.3 without modifying the BIOS at all, easying the installation process. So windows users have no excuse to try openSUSE 10.3.

openSUSE 10.3 is the first major distribution that has this kind of installer in its media. That is a very good new for openSUSE users, as well as for the instlux project, as this month is its second birthday!. Yes! I started the project 2 years ago and it has had an unbelievable success: more than 90000 downloads since its first release in Novembre 2005.

Instlux is also in a local distribution, actually a Novell Linux Desktop based distribution, called Linkat, the linux for the educational sector in Catalunya.

openSUSE10.3 has also very interesting features that can make this distribution really succesfull: improved 3D desktop, 1-click install (install from firefox), comunitary repositories, fluendo mp3 decoders, 1cd install, ... a pretty modern set of features!
